Background
Launched in 2006 after two of Europe’s largest cable companies (Telewest & NTL) combined with Virgin Mobile, Virgin Media are the UK’s leading entertainment and communication company with almost 10 million customers. Mathias was chosen to help launch and re-energise the merged companies with new branded clothing that would reinforce the Virgin brand image across all staff.

Management workshops were held to establish the best working process and achieve maximum results.
Intensive consultation period with steering groups including brand,
health & safety and end users, ensured staff’s involvement throughout the design process.
Detailed delivery schedule updated daily and e-mailed to managers. Information included POD’s and ETA on the delivery of each garment for every one of the 6,200 staff.
All uniforms despatched on time despite unprecedented volumes and short lead times.
Results
Mathias were awarded a contract extension following a thorough tender process in August 2008 and Virgin Media remain customers of Mathias to this day.
