Mathias warmly welcomes The British Museum to their growing fold.

 

The British Museum’s collection of over 7 million objects represents the history of human culture. Based in London, the museum attracts more than 5 million people through its doors every year. They come to view the galleries, take in temporary exhibitions, participate in events or just to spend a few moments in one of London’s most spectacular public buildings.

 

Working behind the scenes to make these visits possible are more than 1,000 members of staff. This in no simple task. The building occupies 75,000 square meters. That’s an area equivalent to nine football pitches or four times the arena of the Colliseum in Rome. There are over 3,500 doors, almost 7,000 light bulbs to change yearly & the Great Court ceiling consists of over 3,300 panes of glass, so as you can see these staff are always hard at work.
